Podio a Bolzano per la scuderia Imega-Boninsegni

Il primo Ecorally della Mendola si è concluso nella tarda mattinata di domenica con la vittoria dell’esperto equi paggio della Scuderia Franciacorta Motori composto da Alberto Donghi e Renato Delbara su Peugeot 3008 ibrida. Le strade dell’Alto Adige ed i Passi Mendola e Palade hanno visto secondo l’equipaggio del Racing Team Ecomotori con Massimo Liverani e Alessandro Talmelli con Fiat 500 Abarth alimentata a metano, mentre terzi in rimonta si sono piazzati i toscani Guido Guerrini e Leonardo Burchini sull’Alfa Mito a Gpl della Scuderia Imega-Boninsegni.
Nonostante sia il gradino più basso del podio, c’è grande soddisfazione in casa Imega-Boninsegni: “Abbiamo coronato con la terza piazza un lungo inseguimento, resosi necessario dopo una serie di errori compiuti nella prima prova cronometrata di sabato” commenta a caldo il pilota Guido Guerrini, aggiungendo che “le grandi salite di questo meraviglioso territorio hanno messo a dura prova la nostra auto, che ha dimostrato di non avere nulla di meno di quelle che viaggiano con combustibili tradizionali!”. Ancora, da Guerrini un riferimento al proprio “secondo”: “Faccio i complimenti a Leonardo Burchini – dice il pilota di Sansepolcro – che come l’anno passato a Zolder ha esordito nel campionato con un ottimo podio”.
Pur rimanendo alla spalle di Liverani, detentore e diretto concorrente per il titolo mondiale delle energie alternative, Guerrini e Burchini si sono lasciati dietro concorrenti del calibro di Roberto Viganò, che assieme a Andrea Fovana aveva vinto l’ultimo “San Marino”, e Vincenzo di Bella, plurititolato pilota milanese e vecchia conoscenza del campionato mondiale, dove è arrivato ben tre volte secondo.  È proprio il Campione del Mondo in carica Massimo Liverani che spiega le difficoltà di questa gara: “Si trattava di un percorso molto tecnico, adatto ai veri talenti della regolarità più serrata, e che ha visto il lotto dei concorrenti della nostra categoria spesso in difficoltà: stavolta più che il migliore ha vinto chi ha sbagliato di meno!”, ha concluso il pilota forlivese.
Leonardo Burchini, tornato in coppia con Guerrini in sostituzione di Emanuele Calchetti, impegnato fuori Italia fino a settembre, è visibilmente soddisfatto dopo la consegna del trofeo da parte del grande giornalista sportivo Ezio Zermiani: “Faremo tesoro di questo piazzamento che è stato per la squadra un buon test di affiatamento e per la nostra Alfa Mito a gpl la riprova che il nostro impianto Imega non ha nessun calo di rendimento neppure ad alta quota, un buon segnale visto che nella prossima gara a fine mese, il Rally del Sestrière, supereremo i 2600 metri del Col du Galibier”.
