A San Marino l’ultima gara stagionale, il Team Imega Corse si gioca il tutto per tutto.

Parte sabato dalla Repubblica del Titano e si conclude domenica in Piazza San Pietro l’ottava edizione dell’Ecorally San Marino – Città del Vaticano, ultima gara della stagione 2013 del Campionato del Mondo FIA e del Campionato Italiano CSAI riservati ad auto ad energia alternativa. Se per il titolo iridato i giochi sono ormai fatti, il campionato nazionale è invece apertissimo: ad oggi Massimo Liverani (EcoMotori Racing Team – 500 Abarth a metano e bioetanolo) guida la classifica generale con un punto di vantaggio su Guido Guerrini (Imega Corse – Alfa Romeo Mito a gpl) e due su Roberto Viganò (Alfa Romeo Mito a gpl). Ciò significa che dei tre piloti, quello che si piazzerà davanti agli altri due in qualsiasi posizione che garantisca punti (cioè fino all’ottavo posto) si aggiudicherà il titolo italiano 2013. Tra questi tre piloti, affiancati rispettivamente dai navigatori Valeria Strada, Emanuele Calchetti e Andrea Fovana, si prevede quindi una emozionante gara nella gara.

Questa edizione dell’Ecorally, incentrata sulla figura di San Francesco, partirà da San Marino e raggiungerà la Città del Vaticano attraversando, tra l’altro, San Leo, La Verna, Arezzo, Assisi, Civita Castellana e Roma. All’interno del lungo percorso ci saranno quattro prove speciali a velocità imposta e diciotto controlli su pressostato. Al via oltre quaranta equipaggi di provenienza internazionale (canadesi, polacchi, bulgari, sloveni, serbi, spagnoli e francesi, oltre a italiani e sammarinesi), impegnati a definire anche la classifica finale del campionato del mondo: se infatti le prime due posizioni sono matematicamente assegnate a Massimo Liverani e Guido Guerrini, è bagarre per il terzo gradito del podio tra Raymond Durand (Fra), Elvis Georgiev (Bul) e Gregor Zdovc (Slo). Anche per quanto riguarda il titolo co-piloti, già vinto da Fulvio Ciervo, restano da definire gli altri gradini del podio. A difendere il secondo gradino del podio c’è la navigatrice dell’equipaggio femminile Imega Corse Francesca Olivoni, in gara in coppia con Isabelle Barciulli su Nissan Micra a gpl: “Concludere il mondiale navigatori al secondo posto assoluto sarebbe un risultato straordinariamente soddisfacente”, commenta la 29enne di Pieve Santo Stefano, “anche se ci sono rivali agguerritissimi, su tutti Andrea Fovana, la bulgara Elena Pisarska e il serbo Nenad Stojanovic, ma certamente io ed Isabelle faremo tutto il possibile per conservare la posizione”.

Emanuele Calchetti, vincitore del mondiale navigatori nel 2012, torna sulla sfida a tre per il titolo italiano: “Dobbiamo tentare di sopravanzare rivali fortissimi”, dice, “non a caso Liverani ha vinto la precedente edizione dell’Ecorally e Viganò aveva vinto quella di due anni fa. D’altra parte”, conclude il 32enne co-pilota di Sansepolcro, “il nostro team ha fatto grandissimi progressi, quindi per quanto possa sembrare un obiettivo proibitivo, non possiamo che puntare alla vittoria”.
